- Jérémy Siffert, grandson of legendary Swiss racing driver Jo Siffert, will be competing for GEBHARDT Motorsport in the Prototype Cup Germany in Hockenheim.
A prominent name for GEBHARDT Motorsport at the Prototype Cup Germany in Hockenheim. Jérémy Siffert, the grandson of Jo Siffert, will compete for the Sinsheim-based team at the second race weekend of the Prototype Cup Germany in Hockenheim. Siffert will share the exotic Ginetta G61-LT-P3 with Jacob Erlbacher.
For Erlbacher, this marks a return to GERBHARDT Motorsport after he drove for Fritz Gebhardt’s team in the German LMP3 series between 2022 and 2024. Siffert, on the other hand, will be making his debut for the team.
‘We are delighted that Jacob is returning to our team,’ said Fritz Gebhardt. ’It is also an honour for us to welcome Jérémy Siffert to our team! His grandfather is a legendary figure in motorsport, and the fact that his grandson is driving for us at a historic event like the Hockenheim Historic makes it even more special.’
Siffert is competing in this year’s Porsche Sports Cup Suisse as a junior driver for Porsche Switzerland. The 21-year-old is driving a 510 hp Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the Porsche events. He gained experience in sports car racing last year when he finished runner-up in the Sprint Cup by Funyo. He also won the e-sports offshoot of the racing series. Siffert will now make his racing debut in LMP3 at Hockenheim, having already familiarised himself with the car during test drives.
‘I am overjoyed to be driving for GEBHARDT Motorsport in the Prototype Cup Germany at Hockenheim this season. I can’t wait to learn more about the car, which I don’t know very well yet, and about the race track. Many thanks to GEBHARDT Motorsport for this great opportunity, I will give it my all!’ said a happy Jérémy Siffert about his LMP3 racing debut.
In addition to the Ginetta, GEBHARDT Motorsport will also field two Duqueine D08 at Hockenheim. Local hero Michael Herich will share a car with Sweden’s Alexzander Kristiansson. Mikkel C. Johansen will line up in the sister car alongside reigning champion Valentino Catalano from Westheim/Pfalz.
This year, the Prototype Cup Germany will make its debut at the ADAC Hockenheim Historic – the Jim Clark Revival (9–11 May 2025). With its powerful LMP3 cars and well-known names such as Jeremy Siffert, the LMP3 racing series, organised by the ADAC and the Dutch Creventic organisation, fits perfectly into the spectacular programme of the event. On Saturday and Sunday, the series will complete a race over 55-minutes and one lap.
Tickets for the ADAC Hockenheim Historic – the Jim Clark Revival are available on the event website, at the Hockenheimring and from all known ticket outlets from 17 €. Children under 14 years of age are admitted free of charge.
